This was the 4th of 8 short children's stories written by Mary Joss Jones (1870-1956) and published by Paul Elder & Co. as The Hump Tree Stories. Series list on copyright page. The story of 7 pigs, 6 white and the 7th black (the "Black Brother"). The black pig doesn't like to do what their mother says but gets a good scare and mends his ways.
