Ownership inscription on title page crossed out. No other markings and not foxed. Pp.[xxxii],251,[1],[x]. Comprises Dedication, Preface, List of Subscribers, Text, Index. Windus was the historian of a mission sent to Morocco to conclude a truce with the Emperor and to arrange for the release of British prisoners. Windus spent four months in Morocco and used the time to collect materials for the account of the Moors which appears in this book which is the first full-length work on Morocco in English.
