Gilded top fore edge. Rubbing and scuffs to edges. Bookplate inside front cover reads, "Wm H. Sage;" possibly William H. Sage, a medal of honor recipient and major general in the U.S. Army at the turn of the 20th century. Additional reseach would be needed to confirm. Small stamp on first blank reads, "G. P.
