In good condition. Orange illustrated paper covers have light bumping and creasing to edges and corners and light to moderate overall scuffing and soiling. Binding tight(staple bound). Pages A few pages have some very light pencil markings. Otherwise pages are lightly aged but unmarked. NOT Ex-Library. NO remainder marks. [From Preface] This book has been written with the syllabuses for Electricity and, Magnetism the Ministry of Transport Masters and Mates examinations in mind and, for these, the subject matter will be found to be adequate. The basic ideas have been explained and very fully illustrated so as to be easily followed by the reader to whom this is a new subject. In the more advanced work only the general principles have been brought out. These are generally simple although the circuitry necessary to put them into practice is often extremely complicated and no attempt is made to discuss this. Many of those now at sea did not require electrical knowledge when taking their examinations. It is hoped that this book will enable them and others, to understand the principles of the electrical and electronic devices now being fitted in various departments aboard ship.
