The letter is on the decorated letterhead of The Sketch Published By The Illustrated London News & Sketch Limited, 198 Strand, London, W. C. It is dated Oct. 11, 1900, and is also to Grant Richards: "For the last four months I have been writing a weekly article in the 'Sketch' under the heading of the 'Social Jester'. The other I received a letter from one of the directors of Messrs. Simpkin, Marshall Ltd. (Mr. A. E.
