Hardcover. Condition: Good (+). No Jacket. 1st ed. unpag.prelims+412, portrait plates of each of the 9 authors (as listed above) prior to their contributions; internally clean, tight & unmarked, large 1926-dated sig.front endpaper, a few eraseable pencil notes to front pastedown. Red cloth covers clean but spine ends rubbed and small dent front outer edge. Main problem however is that front joint has become loose, internal gutter split now cosmetically sealed but the textblock shakiness remains. Nonetheless an excellent reference/working copy of this historically important text providing position statements by leading psychological theorists; notable that psychoanalysis is not included and McDougall's 'Hormic' psychology is grouped with Morton Prince under heading 'Purposive Groups' (McD.'s 2 chaps are called 'Men or Robots' (I, II) (the word robot having been coined only 5 years previously by Czech playwright Capek this was quite trendy of him.) Murchison's name does not actually appear on t.p., but he authored the Preface.
