It is found that the exergy losses in desiccant cooling depend mainly on the regeneration temperature to reactivate the desiccant used in the dehumidifier. Earlier research discovered that out of many components used in the hybrid cooling system, exergy destruction occurs highest in the rotary dehumidifier. The use of desiccants in a dehumidifier that regenerates at nearly ambient temperature tends to reduce exergy losses in the hybrid cooling system. The previous results also show that the solid desiccant dehumidification integrated vapor-compression based hybrid cooling technique can be efficiently used for air-conditioning in a typical hot and humid climate and exergy performance of the system can be ameliorated by using freely available renewable solar heat.

The purpose of the analysis is to study the characteristics of exhaust valve under given thermal load and stresses. The result obtained from analysis is verified. At the design stage it is necessary to predict accurately, the behavior of exhaust valve under given load and speed. Nowadays, model analysis using ANSYS has become a common tool for studying the behavior of complex mechanical structures. However the analysis of extensive data sets that are obtained during model testing requires additional efforts for the development of dedicated model parameter estimation methods. The main objective of this project is to carry out Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in view to predict temperature distribution across the exhaust valve. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Circulating fluidized bed combustion (CFBC) is the modern technology for power generation in large scale as it makes use of efficient burning of the coal in fluidized bed combustion high pressure boiler. In CFBC, shape of primary air supply nozzle plays a vital role in creating air turbulence as combustion is carried out in fluidized state of coal. In the present work, CFD simulation is used to optimize primary air flow in combustion chamber by use of different nozzles namely mushroom, arrow head and pig tail. An analysis was conducted for individual nozzle as well as for the whole combustor by considering array of nozzles to determine the velocity of primary air in the combustion chamber. The results show that the maximum gas velocity was obtained in the case of the pig tail nozzle and its array is found maximum as 67.28 m/s and 80.20 m/s respectively. Furthermore, the simulated results of different nozzle types were found matching well with the available designed data. Further, the array of nozzles also show similar behavior represented in the previous literature. 60 pp. Englisch.
