Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. Gregor is a German spy at the end of his life's journey. Before he can pass comfortably however, he must make peace with his conscience. In his struggle with the initial stages of Alzheimer's he must face ghosts he had long thought dead and buried. The moral dilemmas a military man turned spy, were haunting him and dancing through his mind more vividly than ever before due to his oncoming illness. Gregor had been put in the United States as Hitler's last act of defiance toward the Allied Commanders. He is struggling with the moral compromises his mission is demanding from him and has reached the conclusion he will "bow out" and return his childhood home. In the process he must decide whether he will leave the network he had spent the better part of his life building intact or undermine it as he makes his exit. This decision would be easy if he did not despise what he had done as Hitler's pawn. He must decide if he will continue to strengthen and support an ideology he no longer believes in or if in the end he will sabotage what he views as his insidious act. Steve is the retired commander of an elite Navy Seal team who is searching for his niche in life after leaving the service. He and his former team members find themselves caught in the middle of an arch villain's moral dilemma. They struggle to unravel Gregor's twisted web before it kills one of their own. Along the way he and his friends grow closer together and find romance and lifelong companionship as they are sucked into the deceitful web that spans the entire globe. Shipping may be from our Sydney, NSW warehouse or from our UK or US warehouse, depending on stock availability.…

Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. Lot of 40 titles from the Arno / New York Times Series The American Negro, His History and his literature. HEAVY Package - pickup can be arranged at our public storefront in downtown Manhattan. All told, the volumes are clean and well kept. From the home of a well regarded historian of Black studies. Also was a tobacco smoker, and that combined with age has led to occasional toning / darkening of the tan cloth part of these hardcover volumes - though without any consistency, it is present to some degree on nearly all. Faint odor as well, especially for those of sensitive nose, though to this seller it is not egregious. Besides that, the condition is pretty solid on all. Binding are all quite strong, sturdy, tight , square. No markings were found in any of the books, and no other damage to interiors at all. One volume has some fraying to the edge of the cloth of the front, and some of the volumes have lesser or greater degrees of rubbing, scuffing, dustsoiling, but all told clean beyond the toning. Uncommon to find so many in one place. Shipping will be extra ! pickup available in NYC.
