Une planche en couleurs (24 x 19 cm) réalisée au pochoir et rehaussée à l'or, représentant un manteau du soir de Paul Poiret. Planche 78 du N°10 de la Gazette du Bon Ton de l'année 1920. Signé dans la planche. Revue de mode fondée par Lucien Vogel et Michel de Brunhoff en 1912, la Gazette du Bon Ton a vu sa publication interrompue pendant la première guerre mondiale. Condé Monrose Nast en devient le propriétaire en 1921, pour une parution jusqu'en 1925. La collection complète comprend 69 numéros, rassemblant 573 planches peintes au pochoir et 148 croquis dans le style Art déco de l'époque. La naissance de la Gazette du bon ton est aujourd'hui regardée par les historiens comme un événement dans l'histoire de l'édition de mode. C'est la première revue qui allie souci esthétique, exigence de beauté et unité plastique car elle "entend traiter la mode comme une discipline des Beaux-arts à part entière". Cette revue aura une courte et irrégulière existence, un faible tirage (estimé à 2000 exemplaires par numéro), mais une influence considérable. Condé Montrose Nast s'en inspirera pour développer l'édition américaine de Vogue. Planche originale en très bon état.
