Later komt Pater Boyle ook nog eens op bezoek en wordt Witte Veder gered uit handen van de schurken door een man die zich "de Gelijkrichter" noemt. Maar is die wel te vertrouwen? Witte Veder heeft daar zo zijn twijfels over. Pas echt verwarrend wordt het als het hoofd van deze bende de broer van Pater Boyle blijkt te zijn.
