Howe's Monthly". Howe was well traveled and known for his sharp wit in his editorials. The selections in this book are well representative of his thought and style. GENERAL LITTLE BLUE BOOK CONDITIONS Pocket Series and Little Blue Books were issued using inexpensive materials and thus are almost always found with toned and faded paper. Other small defects such as slightly chipped corners, printer's smudges, and such are common. Any flaws beyond the normal for these will be detailed. Little Blue Books often did not have blue covers - or the blue has faded to gray. Later books issued near the final years of the series also suffered somewhat from sloppy type-setting. Howe, well-known Newspaper man, magazine publisher, and lesser known novelist. The book is a collection of pithy sayings by Howe, who was known for his quick wit, especially in his editorials. the book has an Introduction penned by his son J. E. Howe (also a newspaperman), Corra Harris (Likely the best known newspaperwoman of her day), and N. P. Webb. The book consists of a collection of pithy quotations from Edgar W. Howe, many of them taken from his editorials. This is one of the scarcer title in the Little Blue Book series. SERIES : Little Blue Books ( No. 1734 ) TITLE : The Indignations of E. W. No writing or marking.
