It is the early 19…70's. An old and powerful cardinal at the Vatican has somberly observed the decadence of the '60s - drugs, extramarital sex, the hippie movement's anarchy, riots, protest marches, broken marriages and families, and the general population's disillusionment with religion and authority. His thinking has progressively degenerated. Finally he breaks when his perceived hidden aberrancy of nature, the homosexual movement, rides the wave of satanism and makes public its demands for Gay Liberation. The twisted old man enlists the aid of two world-class biogeneticists who share in his extremism. Together they conclude that they have been divinely chosen to return mankind to a God-fearing morality. They conspire to plant a plague amongst the sinners, not unlike God's own plagues upon the sinners in Biblical times. It is hoped that this disease will be regarded as a warning from God for all of mankind to stop its self-destructive behavior and return to the fold. A handful of thrilleresque subplots develop as the story weaves through the next two decades, with avarice and power brokers carrying the central theme to its unexpected finale. Signed by Author(s).
