Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is a narrative of a search expedition that was launched in 1882 and 1883 to locate a missing group of explorers, including Professor Palmer and Captain Gill, who had ventured into the Arabian Desert on a secret mission. The disappearance of the explorers sparked concerns, and Colonel Warren was dispatched to lead the search effort under the direction of the Admiralty. The author, who joined the search as an assistant engineer, provides a detailed account of their journey, which was fraught with challenges and danger. Despite the challenges, the search expedition was successful in uncovering the truth about the explorers' fate and shedding light on the circumstances surrounding their disappearance. The narrative offers insights into the political climate of the region and the complexities of the Bedouin culture, highlighting the importance of understanding and respecting cultural differences in diplomatic missions. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
