First edition. Scientific Report . Grant GP 1759. National Science Foundation. Report approved by Keith B. Mather (sign.). Cloth backed yellow printed card wraps. 4to (27cm). pp. 35, [6] plates. Bibliography. Very Good. Short tear to rear cover, text recto. 1964 marked the beginning of Bernhard's affiliation with GIUA and the re…turn to the subject discussed with collegue and observer of noctilucent clouds Carl Stormer in Oslo in the 1930's, noted by a German astronomer since 1885 (Thomas Backhouse, 1842-1920). Later with others at GIUA and Benson Fogle who was collecting data on NLC in polar regions, they continued early work in the characteristics then origin of the wave forms of noctilucent clouds. This is one in a series of NLC reports from the 1960's.
