Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. First UK edition. Hardback in dustwrapper. 19 × 11cm, 96pp. This Great War play from Eberhard Möller was his first critical success in 1929, and featuring as the main character a discharged soldier called Ulysses, and his wife (Helen), and with each scene… starting with a passage from The Odyssey. Scene six caused a stir when it was first produced as Ulysses tears a cinema screen that is showing a war film to allow it to be screened on his bare chest. Eberhard Möller was to become one of the most famous authors of the Nazi era and was appointed to the Reich Ministry for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda. Condition: The book itself is in very good condition. The dustwrapper has slight loss to the head of the spine and some tanning to the spine and edges but is otherwise good and now within a protective sleeve.
