From an AI overview: "Fisher's Contact Dermatitis, 5th Edition is a comprehensive medical reference textbook published in 2001 and edited by Robert L. Rietschel and Joseph F. Fowler. Key Details. Authors/Editors: Robert L. Rietschel and Joseph F. Fowler (building on the foundational work of Dr. Alexander A. Fisher). Publisher: Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (Philadelphia, PA). ISBN: 0-7817-2252-7 / 9780781722520. Overview and Contents. Focus: Serves as an essential resource for dermatologists and clinicians diagnosing and treating allergic and irritant contact dermatitis. Coverage: Includes extensive surveys of common and unusual allergens (such as latex and gold), detailed breakdowns of aquatic dermatoses, and practical patient education instructions. Format: Follows the traditional, accessible style established by Dr. Fisher, featuring structured summaries, practical tables, and detailed appendices on exposure and cross-reactions." From the JAMA website: "Since its introduction in 1967 with 324 pages, Alexander A. Fisher's Contact Dermatitis has been the one essential text for American dermatologists who see patients with contact dermatitis. Now in its fifth edition with 1117 pages, and written for the second time by Robert L. Rietschel and Joseph F. Fowler, it still is. Dr Fisher wrote the first 2 editions (1967 and 1973) himself. In the third edition he invited coauthors, and although the book doubled in size, it maintained its signature: boxed summary statements on most pages, numerous tables, lots of folksy anecdotes, scads of practical information, an accessible style, no chemical formulas to speak of, and no pictures (the ones in the first and second editions were not good).". Fifth Edition, First Printing. Oversize Hardcover. Very Good - Fine condition/No dust jacket, as issued. Illus. by NOT a library discard. x, 862 pages. Great Packaging, Fast Shipping. Add to basket4to. xvi, 437 pp. Tables, index. White cloth. Near fine. "This book contains the documentation for the IRAS Minor Planet Survey (IMPS). It explicates the creation and formats of the final data products and contains all of the hard copy catalogs. Although the reader is often referred to the /RAS Explanatory Supplement (1988) for arcane details of the IRAS hardware, inertial source survey strategy, or SDAS data processing technicalities, and to the IRAS Asteroid and Comet Survey (1986) for information regarding the previous processing of IRAS asteroid data, this document alone should satisfy the needs of most users of IRAS asteroid data. Because of substantial changes between the first processing of the IRAS asteroid data and the current version it was necessary, to produce a different set of final data products and to completely rewrite the documentation. This version describes the data submitted to the National Space Science Data Center (NSSDC); interested readers are referred to the NSSDC for access to the IMPS data. See §1.3, page 3 for instructions on how to do this.".…

The present collection offers a window into the literary world of American poet and humorist Ogden Nash (1902-1971). It is comprised of 239 volumes published between 1886 and 1971, among which are numerous presentation and association copies. All books in the present collection come from the shared personal library of Ogden and Frances Nash. The collection spans poetry, humor, light verse, and literary criticism, and includes a significant number of first and limited editions, often in original bindings or dust jackets. Of particular note are six books inscribed by Nash to his wife, Frances (including five authored by Nash, one of which is in an "Author's Copy" half-leather binding). Included in the collection are 59 works by Nash, three of which feature edits to the text in Nash's hand. Twenty-seven of these Nash publications are Author's copies bound in half-leather. There are an additional 48 volumes bearing inscriptions to Nash from other authors and poets, most notably twelve volumes inscribed by S.J. Perelman. Among the 132 uninscribed volumes included here, 45 bear Ogden Nash's ownership inscription (10 bear the ownership inscription of Frances Nash). The number and range of authorial inscriptions represented in the present collections reflect Nash's wide-ranging literary friendships and professional associations. Notable among these are twelve warmly inscribed titles by humorist S.J. Perelman, whose acerbic wit is on display in a series of affectionate, playful, and sometimes satirical inscriptions to both Nash and his wife, Frances. These volumes also reflect Perelman and Nash's shared experiences in Hollywood and the literary scene of mid-century America. Other highlights include inscriptions from John Betjeman, Christopher Morley, E.C. Bentley, A.P. Herbert, David McCord, William Plumer Fowler, and Holger Lundbergh, among others-each evidencing Nash's influence and the esteem in which he was held across literary and cultural circles in the U.S. and the U.K. O.…
