Interestingly, many other states owe a debt to Tennessee for providing pioneers and statesman who built their states into greatness. Physically, the state of Tennessee is long and narrow and with such a wide diversity of topographical features that the people in its 'three grand divisions' have had difficulty in communicating with and even understanding each other.
