Stewart was with the USAF Space and Missile Systems Organization, AFSC. Cover has some wear and soiling. Autonetics was a division of North American Aviation that produced various avionics but was known for th…eir inertial navigation systems used in submarines and intercontinental ballistic missiles. It had a 188-acre facility in Anaheim, California. Autonetics is now part of Boeing. Autonetics included the Navigation Systems division, designing and producing inertial and stellar-inertial navigation systems for ships, submarines, missiles, aircraft and space vehicles. One of the automatic navigation systems produced by the division was the N-6 or NAVAN (North American Vehicle Auto Navigation) for the Navaho missile system. Other products included alignment devices and attitude reference systems for missile launchers, artillery, land survey, aircraft and missile-range ships. This may also have been a presentation to the American Defense Preparedness Association Symposium on Vulnerability and Survivability of Aerial and Surface Targets, Naval Surface Weapons Center, 26-28 October, 1976. There is a block diagram on total weapon system survivability, followed by a more complex Top Level functional flow diagram. Then there are tables on the degradation mode worksheet (convolute (pipe) Cables) and on Non-Nuclear Degradation Mode Summary. Figure 3 is a Technical evaluation and system impact worksheet, followed by Figure 4 Multiple Kill decision. There are tables 3 and 4 Prioritization Factors and Measures and Surveillance Prioritization Sorting Rules. Table 5 is Candidate tests/ Inspections. Figures 7 and 8 are Guidance and control system high level prompt gamma test and Computer low level prompt gamma test. Figures 9 and 10 are Semiconductor Parts radiation tests and Piece parts test flow. Figure 11 is OSAT (Ogden Shield Assurance Test). Presumed First Edition, First printing thus.
