Ends of spine bumped, chip in heel of spine, faded along spine and edges of boards, nic…k on front fore edge, corners rubbed and bowed, shallow scrape (2 inch) on front. Label on spine lifted along one side and at lower edge, 1/16 inch tear at lower edge of label with resulting crease. Pages darkened along edges, tiny brown dot on front paste-down and ffep, else pages clean and bright throughout. Overall, very good minus. Signed by Author(s).

Ten were condemned to death and hanged, drawn and quartered. Finch, a distinguished lawyer and Member of Parliament from an eminent family, held several high legal posts. He was Lord Chancellor of England from 1675 to 1682. At the time of this book's publication (first published in 1660) he was England's solicitor general. An important historical record.
