Il a participé à la rédaction de la Bible polyglotte d'Anvers, d'Arias Montanus et Christophe Plantin. "L'encylclie" est dédiée au Duc d'Alençon, frère du roi Charles IX, qui avait, sur les instances de sa soeur Marguerite de Valois, nommé son auteur son secrétaire et son interprète. La seconde partie (pp. 164-344) contient un "Recueil de vers" dont des poésies en l'honneur de divers princes et de Christophe Plantin.
