Feinberg's address, listed on the verso of the tile page, was 1319 Sheridan Avenue, Bronix, New York. He lived in what is now known as "Little Ghana" but back in his day was a very Jewish neighborhood. In an areaa that once had wonderful Jewish Delis, you can now sit down to wonderful west African meals. Ex library with de-accession stamp of the now defunct Simon Hevesi Jewish Heritage Library. Leon Feinberg was a Yiddish journalist, novelist and poet and one-time city editor of The Day, later renamed the Day-Morning Journal. He was born in the Ukraine, graduated from the University of Moscow, immigrated to the United States in 1921, published 15 novels and volumes of poetry, served as president of the Yiddish Pen Club, was vice president and secretary of the Yiddish Writers Union and national committeeman of the National Committee for Jewish Culture. He served as city editor of The Day, a Yiddish daily, from 1945 to 1955 and later wrote a column on political affairs. Inscribed by Author(s).
