The collection includes an autobiography of Samuel Pepys, the English diarist and naval administrator, the medieval romance story of Aucassin and Nicolette, and a collection of romantic prose and verse by William Morris.Aucassin undated. Externally, excellent with only minimal rubbing to the extremities of the boards to 'Early Romances' and 'Pepys Volume One', and externally smart to the others with a closed tear to the cloth to the front joint to 'Aucassin' and scattered damp stains to 'Pepys Volume two'. Previous owner's ink inscription to the verso of the title page to each volume.Two chivalric romance titles in three volumes from Everyman's Library, edited by Ernest Rhys; including the famous Le Morte D'Arthur. These volumes are a couple of the earliest works published by J. M. Dent & Sons for Everyman's Library, which was founded in 1906.
