Also included are materials on elevator car signal devices, safety devices, and more. Jallings worked as machinist, mechanical engineer, technician, and salesman for the Charles H. Mitchell Co., J.W. Reedy, Warsaw Elevators, and later Kaestner & Hecht provided him with key technical knowledge for this work aiding operators, architects, engineers, and contractors during the early decades of skyscrapers, and tall buildings in need of elevators.
