Sturdy green cloth, top edges gilt, each volume contains illustrations with the original tissue-guards, the copyright pages contain various publishing dates…but this is a matching set, all of the books are in excellent condition with minimal rubbing to the corners of the cloth, Volume 2 has a few small tan blemishes on the rear cover, Volume 3 has a short edge-tear on page 5 which does not affect the text, the flaws are minor, this is a very clean, attractive set, suitable gift.
