Hardcover. Condition: Good. "Plays of Old Japan", translated from the original Japanese by Leo Duran. Published by Thomas Seltzer in New York, 1921. 5.25'' x 7.5'', 127 pages. The book is in good minus condition. The boards are scuffed and somewhat faded. Shelf wear on the spine and bumping and scuffing to the corners has led to some chipping and cloth loss. The cover illustration is scuffed but overall well-preserved. The lettering on the spine is clear and legible. A previous owner left their name and the year 1922 in pencil on the front endpaper. Foxing and spotting, especially more towards the front and declining greatly as the text proceeds. An illustration in front of the title page has come loose. There is foxing to the corners and edges of that page but the picture itself is bright, clean, and well-preserved. The text block is toned but is bright, clean, and complete. The binding is starting at the front hinge. Please view the many other rare titles available for purchase at our store. We are always interested in purchasing individual or collections of fine books.
