Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. This is a detailed genealogical history of the Kibbe, Eberman, Walker and Deering families. The families have a deep and rich history that encompasses the entire American Experience. They were English, Scot-Irish (Scottish), German, Irish and French. The families were among the first settlers of Boston, Salem, Wenham, Windham, Hartford, Enfield, Somers and Monson in the Colonies of Massachusetts and Connecticut. In the Colony of Virginia, they were early settlers of Spotsylvania, Orange, Campbell, Augusta and Culpeper Counties. They were among the first settlers of Pennsylvania, with some of the first lands granted from William Penn, himself, at the beginning of the charter. When Kentucky became a state in 1792, the four families were joined through the marriage of Anna Walker's father, Robert Fulton, and Amanda C. Kibbe, of Greenup and Carter Counties in Kentucky. From Kentucky the family removed to the Indian Territories in Oklahoma and finally in 1900, they settled in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. They were early miners, ranchers and cattle rustlers, in Gunnison County Colorado. The Kibbe, Eberman, Walker and Deering families had men who served in the French and Indian War, War of the Revolution, Dunmore's War, War of 1812 and the Civil War on both sides. All four branches of the family were deeply religious and included the different religious sects of Puritans, Methodist, Lutherans, Friends, and Presbyterians, to name a few. They were land owners, farmers and merchants. But, some were also plantation and slave owners and participated in a shameful time in our American history. I have included any and all records including the name of the slaves within the family whenever they are mentioned in the historical documents. The four families were among the first to settle the wild lands in this country and paved the way for future immigrants and adventurers. This item is printed on demand.
