Jahrhunderts zu handeln , und keinen Ehrgeiz besitzt, großartige Prophezeiungen über eine ferne Zukunft zu veranstalten. Bearbeitungen des Originaltextes - literarischer Kannibalismus - haben Jules Verne ebenso wie Swift, Melville und Cervantes zu reinen Kinderbuchlieferanten degradiert; wobei das Ärgerliche weniger in dem Genre selbst liegt als in der Geringschätzung, die von vornherein jener Literatur entgegengebracht wird, die sich an ein jugendliches Publikum wendet.
