Polemista vivace, ebbe vita avventurosa e agitata. Nel 1512, scomunicato per l'appoggio e i consigli dati a Luigi XII in occasione del conciliabolo di Pisa, si rifugiò in Francia, dove ottenne la cattedra a Valenza e fu fatto consigliere al parlamento di Grenoble; nel 1515, assolto dalla scomunica, tornò a Pavia, poi a Pisa e da ultimo a Siena." Marca ai due front. (Eredi di J. Giunta - due putti sorreggono un giglio fiorentino), piccoli capilettera xilografati e decorati, leg. orig. in tutta perg. floscia con tit. ms. al dorso, tracce di laccetti. Il titolo uniforme dell'opera che contiene entrambe le parti è "De Regulis Iuris". Tra i nomi degli editori compare anche quello di Jacques Faure e infatti in fine si legge: Lugduni, Excudebat Iacobus Faurus. Dino del Mugello, il cui vero nome è Dino Rossoni (Mugello 1253 - Bologna, 1303, o comunque dopo questa data), addottoratosi a Bologna, fu giurista e professore di diritto civile a Pistoia e Bologna, e più tardi forse anche a Siena. Nel 1297, chiamato da Bonifacio VIII a Roma, risulta abbia compilato il titolo di "De regulis iuris", ricavato in gran parte dal diritto romano. Tornato l'anno seguente a Bologna, vi morì poco dopo. Nelle sue opere mostra i primi segni di un critico distacco dalla metodologia della glossa accursiana (nome su edizioni: Dynus de Muxello; Dy. de Mucello, Dynus de Muxello; Dynus; Dinus; Dynus Muxellanus; Dinus Muxellanus). Filippo Decio (Milano, 1454 Siena, 1535) fu giureconsulto, celebre commentatore civilista e canonista, professore di diritto civile e canonico e insegnò a Pisa, Pavia, Siena, Padova e Roma. In Francia venne nominato Consigliere del Parlamento da Luigi XII e insegnò a Bourges e a Valencia. Ebbe come discepoli uomini di indiscussa grandezza come Leone X, Cesare Borgia e soprattutto Francesco Guicciardini. (Nome su edizioni: Philippus Decius; Philippus Decius Mediolanensis; Pphilippus [!] Decius siue de Dexio Mediolanen; Philippus Decius siue de Decio; Philippus Decius siue de Dexio Mediolanensis; Philippus Decius siue de Decio Mediolanensis). Poche le localizzazioni delle varie ediz., antecedenti e posteriori, dal 1537 e dal 1545 a quelle del 1580 e del 1619; nessuna che corrisponda alla nostra (ICCU). Pergamena con minime mancanze al piatto anteriore e normali gualciture, una firma al front.
