Zum Dank erhielt er 1898 den Ehrentitel Pascha. Von 1902 bis 1906 war er a.o. Professor an der Universität Kiel. Danach leitete er Sanatorien in Dresden und Baden-Baden. 1910 wurde er medizinischer Leiter im Wildbad Sanatorium in Tobelbad bei Graz, ernannt durch Gustav Robert Paalen der 1909 das Kurzentrum Tobelbad gekauft hatte.
