Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Fair condition quarter bound black hard cover. Heavy wear on the corners exposing all four outer corners. Soiling on the spine and heavy wear on the bottom of the boards. Toned pages on interior and text block. Front and back hinges have been strengthened but are weak. It is an ex-library book with sleeve pasted to the front paste down and a stamp on the free end page. Some pages have crimped edges or small tears and the binding is loose. A telling story by Leo crane who was a Hopi Indian agent at the start of the 20th century. He recounts his 10 years of service with the Hopi Communities around Keams Canyon in Arizona. It is a great story of seeing Native cultures and rituals to his job to try and help these groups so that they could get food and other goods.
