Both wrappers are detached and quite chipped; contents are a trifle toned. But for the chipped wrappers, the pamphlet is otherwise in very good condition. A Louisiana State Supreme Court justice, Fenner was the head of the committee for the erection of the Lee monument in 1884. The monument stood in the Warehouse District of New Orleans until its removal in 2017. In 2022 Lee Circle reverted to its former name Tivoli Circle. This work contains a poem by Requier titled: "Lee," a lengthy oration by Fenner, and an historical sketch of the Lee Monumental Association. Reasonably uncommon in commerce. Dornbusch II, 2957.
