Al primo vol., antiporta litografica celebrativa di Casa Savoia, con aquila coronata allegorica e stemma sabaudo entro cornice architettonica con blasoni, leoni, panoplie, corone, figure guerresche. Complessivi 44 ritratti litografici f.t. di altrettanti esponenti di Casa Savoia, dalle origini sino a metà del XIX secolo, seguiti da compendiose biografie di ognuno dei personaggi (l'ultimo ritratto è aggiunto posteriormente; l'unico a colori, raffigura Vittorio Emanuele II). I ritratti, elegantemente disegnati e incisi dal Gemelli, furono impressi dal ben noto litografo torinese Doyen. Fioriture dovute alla qualità della carta. Bell'esemplare. Prima edizione di quest'opera su Casa Savoia, particolarmente ricercata per il ricco repertorio iconografico. L'A-Valle, autore anche di una scrupolosissima Storia di Alessandria, nativo di San Salvatore Monferrato, visse tra il 1815 e il 1873.
