Although the edition was limited to 950 copies, this copy is NOT numbered or signed. The Northamptonshire village of Faxton, always isolated, gradually fell into ruin and was abandoned in the twentieth century. The last Rector of Faxton was W.M. Watkins-Pitchford, the father of Denys Watkins-Pitchford, better known as "BB", the author and illustrator. This book is peppered with material, prose and illustrations, from BB's childhood recollections of the village. PREVIOUS PRICE GBP 25.00.
