Broughton save that he was a keen poet and talented artist, as evidenced from the plates here. Engraved in Aquatinta by Samuel Alken 1750-1815 Very Good +, a clean and crisp copy of an uncommon work. Internally new endpapers, title page has a 7.5" closed tear, also 3 small worn holes or stab sown holes, edges a little chipped, 14 pp, 4 pl, errata pasted in, some browning and light foxing to a few fore-edges, paper watermarked J Whatman 1794, plates dated June 12, 1798, with 3 of the original tissue guards, the plates are Fall of the River Machno, Conway Castle, Pulpit of Hugh Llwyd and Pont y Glynn, plates are 42*30.5 cm and the leaves are 66*49 cm, the poems that runs throughout is "REFLECTION", with its own cloth covered slipcase with its copies title, a very good copy of a rare and fragile suite of engravings with added romantic topographical verse and much scarcer than the enlarged but much smaller paper edition of 1801.
