Conducted near Hay, New South Wales (34.5°S, 144.93°E) from 15 July to 27 August 1967, the experiment combined hourly pilot-balloon winds, radiosonde temperature and humidity profiles, micrometeorological flux measurements, and continuous surface observations to produce one of the classic benchmark datasets for planetary boundary-layer research.
