Interior folder has foxing, but prints and text are clean. "Le Sourire was a monthly periodical published by the French artist Paul Gauguin. The editions contained satirical copy with one of his woodcuts used for the header. Written by the Belgian malacologist Philippe Dautzenberg and his French colleague, ethnographer, linguist, and governor, Joseph Louis Bouge (1878-1960).
