The publisher's blurb reads: ''Mr. Bodrero, a well known artist and a skilled horseman, set out with a friend, two vaqueros and three pack horses to follow Washington Irving's account of discovering the Alhambra -- riding along paths that cars could not travel. They went through towns inaccessible to tourists -- one of them was Arcos, a town clinging to the side o f a cliff and famous for its gypsy singing and Flamenco. They stayed in posadas, a kind of hotel for horsemen, with stables below and rooms above. The most well know town they visited was Ronda, the home of bullfighting, with the oldest ring in Spain.
