Letzte Seite lose. - Con questa mostra dedicata a Paul Klee, In occasione del XXV della sua scomparsa, avvenuta a Locarno, si e cercato di mettere in evidenza l'attivitä da lui svolta neH'insegnamento e le premesse di una nuova possibilitä artistica con teorie divenute di fondamentale importanza per l'arte moderna e che sono mirabilmente commentate da Argan, uno dei maggiori critici del nostro tempo. -- Giä nel 1924 a Jena, con la sua conferenza divenuta ormai famosa, Klee cerca di ricuperare l'artista, di chiarire i suoi problemi e di inserirlo nella societä: "deve ben esistere un terreno comune a profani e artisti, un terreno sul quäle sia possibile un incontro, sul quäle l'artista cessi di apparire qualcosa di estraneo"; e dopo aver spiegato le basi della sua ricerca conclude "dobbiamo ancora cercare, ce ne manca ancora la forza, a noi che non abbiamo il sostegno di un popolo. Ma un popolo noi Io cerchiamo e i primi passi li abbiamo fatti al Bauhaus. Nell'ambito cioe di una comunitä cui offriamo tutto quello che abbiamo". -- Dopo la sua scomparsa, e il contributo dato dal gruppo "De Stijl", l'artista sta prendendo coscienza dell'importanza della sua opera nell'ambito della societä cosi come la societä moderna sente la necessitä di estreme modifiche e del contributo talvolta essenziale che l'artista puö portare, tanto che osiamo proporre di sviluppare il piano d'insegna- mento di Klee al Bauhaus creando a Locarno- Ascona, centro culturale assurto a fama mondiale, nella magnifica proprietä donata da von der Heydt per scopi culturali al Cantone, un Centro di studi ampliato ed esteso a tutte le manifestazioni artistiche e parascientifiche, dove ogni nazione possa dare il suo contributo alla ricerca delle premesse per la formazione di una nuova coscienza dell'essere. -- Poiche la felicitä, cosi come la pace fra i popoli puö solo esistere nella piena coscienza di compiere il possibile e l'impossibile affinche ogni essere umano, in una terra divenuta ormai piccola, possa avere oltre a garanzie sociali e materiali il diritto alla comprensione del suo reale stato di uomo, della bellezza, della veritä e del fine della sua permanenza terrena. -- E l'artista, il quäle "ö cosi ben orientato da porre un ordine alla fuga delle parvenze e delle esperienze" non solo "deve trasmettere all'opera ciö che ha visto", ma deve contribuire con coraggio e fiducia affinche a tutti sia possibile vedere e capire.
