Rughalben schenkte das Buch dem Kloster Aspach im Landkreis Passau für die Tischlesung. ".anno Domini 1529. Very nice made up volume with two first editions. - GW 3886 und 3882; Hain 2827 und Hain/Cop. 2834; Goff 349 und 346; BSB B-300 und B-298; Graesse I, 343. - Continuously rubricated and red lombards. - Printing in 54 lines. - These both publications are the main works of the Italian Franciscan and Sainted Bernardinus Senensis (1380-1444), who was due to his sermons confronted with vigorous critic. - Title page and first text leaf with a handwritten notation and a donation note by Leonhardus Rughalben, pastor in Schäding und Plattling (Bavaria), dated in 1529. Rughalben donated the book for the monastry Aspach in the district Passau to be used for lessons during the meal. ".anno Domini 1529. Valet multum pro legentibus ad mensam." - Partly waterstained at the bottom, first leaves stronger, title page of the "Quadragesimales" with rests of a marker, last leaf with old restored lack (with slight loss of text).

Per ogni capitolo dell'Apocalisse, c'è una sinossi in corsivo, il testo nel latino della Vulgata in caratteri tondi grandi, e un'ampia esposizione ragionata in caratteri minuti. Solo l'esposizione dell'ultimo capitolo (che è il 22°), appare mutila. Esemplare sciolto, DA RILEGARE. Esemplare da studio, ma di inconsueto interesse, rivelando una prestigiosa interpretazione della fatidica ed oscura Apocalisse. Così com'è.

Esemplare DA RILEGARE, in buona parte sciolto, del 3° vol. delle Opere, che contiene CINQUE RACCOLTE di SERMONI latini: due per l'AVVENTO (uno sulla vita cristiana, e le otto Beatitudini, l'altro sulle Ispirazioni) + due per la QUARESIMA (dei quali uno completo sulla battaglia spirituale e uno sull'Amore . cui mancano quattro pagine) + i sermoni sui quattro NOVISSIMNI, cioè Morte, Giudizio, Inferno, Paradiso. Spettacolare il fronespizio in rosso e nero con la sontuosa VIGNETTA incisa in rame con l'emblema della SALAMANDRA nel fuoco entro il motto "Timentibus Deum nil deest" tra due Angeli, sorretto da tre putti alati, tra cornucopie. Così com'è, ma una vera miniera di "predicabili".
