Hardcover, good. Corners bumped with cardboard exposed there and along edges of boards, moderate shelf scuffing, spine rubbed, approximately 1/8th inch chipping off head and foot. Internally, previous owner's signature (Hannah Cleaver, Locust St Institute, Philadelphia) 4 inch tear and a 1x4 inch piece torn off side edge of first free front endpaper, title page and preface creased along inside edge with approximately 2 inches pulled away, faint and faded pencil notations of a half dozen or so pages, foxing and tanning on first and last few leaves, some more moderate foxing in-text, a few dogears, otherwise tight, clean, relatively crisp and unmarked. Consists of brief descriptions of rivers, mountains, etc, in the format of answers to questions regarding locations on maps, and hundreds of what would now be called pop quiz questions (no answers) , such as where is the Sea of Kara. Great not only as a classroom aid, but for those wishing to make a fortune on Jeopardy! School; textbook; geography; Victorian.
