Hardcover. Condition: Good+. 1st Edition. See photos for condition details: hardcover, dark red cloth boards show some light scuffing and spotting, the front board has two very faint horizontal dents along the edge to the right of the title. The internal binding of the text portion of the pages is good, except for some light pulling in spots. The other issue is the rear hinge has opened at the bottom about 1.5" and is also cracked the top edge about an inch. The pages are toned due to age and there is some scattered spotting and foxing present, especially around the illustration pages which is caused by the two different types of paper reacting with each other. The front end page shows very faint residue from where a price was penciled in the upper corner and the rear end page contains an upside down signature of the original owner (Leonard Wayland).
