Besonders eng fühlte sie sich Ferdinand Hodler verbunden, der ihre jugendliche Schönheit in 17 Bildnissen festhielt. Früh erkannte sie das Talent der Schweizer Künstler Hans Berger, Albert Trachsel und Ernst Morgenthaler. Ihre Sammlung enthält aber u.a. auch Werke von Matisse, Degas, Cézanne, Braque, Picasso, Liebermann. Die von ihrer Nichte Monique Barbier-Mueller und dem Kunsthistoriker Cäsar Menz verfasste Publikation erlaubt einen Einblick in das sorgsam gehütete Reich einer faszinierenden Persönlichkeit, die als Sammlerin, Fotografin und Mäzenin in die Kunstgeschichte eingegangen ist.
