This is an adventure story about a ship wreck, survival, and successful self-rescue from the Lost Island with strong undertones concer…ning the controversial Single Tax proposal of social reformer Henry George that would have eliminated taxes for the masses by instituting a heavy tax on land owners based on increments of land owned. This is the serial appearance of an extract from the now rare book published by the Fels Fund of America, Cincinnati, c1892, of which Worldcat / OCLC locates only 7 copies. Very scarce.
