Indem er Parallelen zwischen Haut und Stoff, zwischen medizinischen Stichen und dem Nähen herstellt, erschafft Piéron aus individuellen Schicksalen künstlerische Objekte und erobert den kranken Körper aus den Händen der Medizin zurück. Mit der Medizin teilt Piéron die 'kindliche Neugier', wissen zu wollen, was unter seiner Haut vor sich geht. Ihm geht es allerdings nicht um die 'Reparatur' eines als krank verstandenen Körpers, sondern darum, jenen institutionellen und gesellschaftlichen Kräften Widerstand zu leisten, die seinen Körper als 'krank' einstufen.
