De hecho, la propia divulgación científica autóctona (a excepción quizás de la ligada a la paleontología humana) es rara en el solar ibérico. Sin duda grandes divulgadores anglosajones de la ciencia como Stephen Jay Gould, Tim Flannery o Jared Diamond han servido de fuente de inspiración al autor. Una obra escrita con rigor, pero para todos los públicos, en un lenguaje asequible y con ejemplos que a todos nos resultarán familiares. Su lectura no te dejará impasible, pues la obra destila la pasión del autor por el conocimiento a fondo de la naturaleza y por la propia naturaleza humana. Me atrevería incluso a decir que es una obra que inevitablemente tiene una componente ética, pues conocer mejor el lugar que ocupamos en el mundo sin duda ha de contribuir a nuestra humildad y con ello a una mejor relación con nuestros semejantes y con el resto de las formas vivas con las que compartimos la nave Tierra.
