Cahours ne dresse pas une chirurgie complète de l'extraction d'un corps étranger dans l'urètre, il relate quatre observations, que le médecin peut rencontrer couramment, faites par le Docteur Amusat fils, et en donnent les traitements les plus appropriés : utilisation d'une pince à trois branches, du petit lithoclaste uréthral d'Amusat, procédé de Franco, et enfin, la lithotripsie. Parfait exemplaire de cette chirurgie appliquée de l'urètre.
