Christopher L. Colvin

Chris Colvin is an award-winning economic history researcher and economics lecturer. His published research addresses issues in the business and financial history of the Netherlands, and the economic and social history of Ireland. He subscribes to the view that economic history is integral to the study of economics and economies, and thus makes sure to incorporate historical thinking into all his teaching.

Chris won the UK Economics Network's Best New Lecturer Award in 2013 'in recognition of exemplary teaching practice that encourages understanding of and inspires interest in economics'. He completed his PhD at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and has been based at Queen's University Belfast since 2012.
