Thomas Chase Hagood

Dr. Thomas Chase Hagood is a historian, teacher, administrator, and advocate for transformative undergraduate education and dynamic student success programming in higher education.

Dr. Hagood currently serves as the Senior Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Undergraduate Studies at the University of Utah. Hagood's historical research explores nineteenth-century America and American identity formation. His educational research focuses on impactful teaching practices, student engagement, and innovative as well as inclusive student success initiatives.
