Maroon cloth beveled boards with gilt spine titles, cover titles and decoration; 8vo; 168 + 11pp ads at rear; illustrated with drawings, both full-page and within text; also text is interspersed with full-page advertisements for Burberry clothing, Farlow tackle, Alcock hooks and many others with marvelous engravings. With detailed chapters on casting, rods, flies, lines & knots, wading techniques, clothing and other modern improvements to the sport. Book in VG condition with slight wear to covers, spine titles faded as usual. Internally, strong hinges, text block and illustrations all bright. This copy with the usual tipped-in full page ad for Kelson' s" The Salmon Fly" at page 14. A much nicer than average example of this work.
