Sie gehört zu einem Bereich der Forschungen Max Schelers, die er nicht fertiggestellt hat, obwohl ihm daran bis zu seinem Lebensende lag: dem Bereich der 'Sinngesetze' des menschlichen Gefühlslebens. Jenen Forschungen liegt die Ansicht zugrunde, daß die schon von den Griechen angenommene Unterscheidung zwischen Verstand und Sinnlichkeit, zwischen Einsichtswissen und Sinneswahrnehmung, das Erkenntnisverhältnis zu unseren Mitmenschen und zur Welt nicht trifft, und daß diese Unterscheidung Ausdruck eines westlichen 'überintellektualistischen' Menschen sei, durch den die Funktionen des Gefühls- und Trieblebens vernachlässigt worden sind. 118 pp. Deutsch.
